We've worked for the river since 1992.
CURE — Clean Up the River Environment — is a community-rooted nonprofit based in Montevideo, Minnesota, organizing residents, farmers, and businesses to protect and restore the Minnesota River watershed.
Our mission
To protect and restore the Minnesota River, its watershed, and its native biota by advancing conservation, clean water, and a culture of care across the region.
What we do
- • Organize community cleanups, paddles, and education programs
- • Publish quarterly River Reports based on citizen-science data
- • Convene the Annual River Summit
- • Produce the documentary series River of Change
- • Partner with farmers and cities on restoration projects
